The Rooms

Each of the five aptly named rooms comes with its own decor scheme offering personal touches within sniffing distance of the sea. Manhattan, with shower room is more New England and slightly small. Masi’s African twist creates a cavernous comfort whilst Troon opts for the feel of Highland cocoon. Raj is strictly oriental and opulent suiting the more eccentric traveller. Our favourite, Toulouse is gloriously French Rococo creating the feel of a tongue and cheek boudoir.

The Rest

All the contemporary comfort and style of a hotel with the warmth, reception and care of a lovingly run B&B. Owners Matthew and Craig epitomise Yorkshire hospitality and will do their utmost to ensure you have a memorable stay. After a day’s sightseeing, treat yourself by curling up in the lounge to gorge on homemade cakes whilst watching one of their wide selection of DVDs. Breakfast is truly local and save space for other quirky on site dining and pillow time treats.

The Cost

There are two tiers of pricing, summer and winter. In winter prices vary between £75 and £95 according to room but stretch up to between £80 and £105 in summer. The cheapest room is Manhattan, then Masi, then Troon followed by Raj, with French inspired Toulouse coming up trumps cost wise. Rates increase in £5 increments between rooms.

Directions to Dillons of Whitby

Whitby is best reached by road by going up the M1 until it becomes the A1M. Then head off to the North York Moors National Park and out the other end.
Whitby train station is only a stone’s throw from Dillons although getting the train from London takes over 4 hours and involves 2 changes.
