The Rooms

This 2 bedroom, immaculately designed Georgian apartment will make you feel like you’re staying in your own country house in the middle of the city. Both rooms have king size beds but only one is en suite. Thoughtfully included linens, towels, soaps and hairdressers fill these calming, artistic and enveloping rooms bathed in outside light.

The Rest

Occupying the entire ground floor of a 19th Century Georgian house, with a fantastically central location, access to a leafy communal square, decadent bedrooms, contemporary furnishings, large and wonderful drawing room and its own private landscaped front garden, Gayfield square really does feel like a home away from home. Inviting, well equipped kitchen, working gas fire and flat screen TV will tempt you to retreat indoors before wandering to nearby Broughton Street for a vibrant night out.

The Cost

Gayfield Square costs between £150 - £250 per night to rent with a minimum three night rental. With two rooms sleeping four in total that works out at between £75 and £125 per room per night.

Directions to Gayfield Square

By Car

Find Princes Street on the map. The A1 and A68 terminate at the east end of Princes Street. From the A1 you make a right turn from Waterloo Place on to the A900 (Leith). From the A68 you veer right from South Bridge on to the A900. In both cases, carry on down Leith Street until you reach a roundabout. Carry straight over (the Playhouse Theatre will be on your right) and continue down the street to the next roundabout.

Take the first exit heading directly ahead down the hill but turn IMMEDIATELY left (almost on the roundabout) on to Gayfield Square. Number 3 Gayfield Square is about 100 metres down on the left (just past the police station and it's very secure!).

Parking is available outside for up to two hours by pay and display or the free parking zone is only a ten minute walk away.

By Air

Once at the airport, take the airport bus to Waverley train station (about 30 minutes), then it's a short cab ride or a 7 minute walk. A cab direct from the airport to the door will cost about £18-£20 or the Edinburgh Shuttle (www.edinburghshuttle.com) will take you door to door from outside the front of arrivals for about £9 per person.

By Train

There are two main stations in Edinburgh and the best one to arrive at is Waverly Station which is roughly a 7 minute walk from Gayfield Square
